Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. Who is responsible
Erich Reiss Publishing, an imprint of Erich Reiss LLC, 30 N Gould St, Suite 68617, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. For privacy inquiries, use the email address displayed below or the contact form.
2. Visiting the website
Technical connection data such as IP address, time of access, requested page and browser information are processed as needed to deliver, secure and maintain the website. Cloudflare provides the website and its database. We currently use no first-party analytics or advertising tracker.
Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
3. Contact form
When you submit the form, we store your name, email address, topic, message, selected language and submission time in the website database to handle your inquiry. An arithmetic question and a time-limited verification token help prevent automated abuse. The answer is checked but is not stored as a field in the contact record.
Depending on the inquiry, the legal basis under the GDPR is Article 6(1)(b) or (f); where you consent to processing, Article 6(1)(a) also applies.
4. Newsletter
When you subscribe, we store your email address, selected language and subscription time in the website database for future publishing updates. You can withdraw your subscription and request deletion at any time by contacting us. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
5. Recipients, international processing and retention
The hosting provider processes data to provide the website and database. Because the responsible company is based in the United States and technical providers may operate outside the European Economic Area, processing may take place in the United States. Contact us for details of a transfer.
We retain contact and newsletter information while needed for its purpose or required by law. There is currently no fixed automatic deletion period for these records. You may request deletion, subject to any applicable retention obligation.
6. Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent with future effect. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. External links take you to third parties with their own privacy notices.
